The Chicago Bears gave fans a scare with their first Week 14 injury report, which included Kyle Monangai and Rome Odunze, so the hope was that it would improve with the second report. Kind of.

Chicago's second injury update at least has Monangai going from not practicing to now being limited with the ankle injury. That's at least an encouraging sign for the offense, but Rome Odunze has now gone two straight days without practicing with his foot injury.

Other key players who did not practice include Ruben Hyppolite (shoulder) and Tyrique Stevenson (hip). Starting left guard Joe Thuney also didn't practice, but he was resting, which has been a trend with him throughout the season.

12/4/2025 Bears Injury Report

  • Ruben Hyppolite II, LB (Shoulder, DNP)
  • Rome Odunze, WR (Foot, DNP)
  • Tyrique Stevenson, CB (Hip, DNP)
  • Joe Thuney, LG (Rest, DNP)
  • T.J. Edwards, LB (Hand/Hamstring, Limited)
  • Kyle Monangai, RB (Ankle, Limited)
  • Andrew Billings, DL (Concussion, Full)
  • Jaylon Johnson, CB (Groin, Full)
  • Dominique Robinson, DL (Concussion, Full)
  • Noah Sewell, LB (Elbow, Full)

Bears' injury update gives a little bit of encouraging news despite Odunze being a concern

Chicago's passing game would take a massive hit if Odunze is unable to play, as he has been the team's leading receiver. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams would most likely have DJ Moore and Luther Burden III on the outside and Olamide Zaccheaus in the slot.

Monangai's update is significant for the Bears, but could also be a sign of what's to come for Chicago on offense. Expect D'Andre Swift to get more of the carries versus Monangai.

On defense, the news at linebacker continues to look much better with Sewell fully practicing and Edwards slowly working his way back. It appears that it won't be on D'Marco Jackson and Amen Ogbongbemiga to carry the load for much longer.

Chicago is looking a little bit better entering the final practice, and while some players will be out, they might be at their healthiest against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, a game they desperately need to win.
