The Chicago Bears have one more preseason game against the Tennessee Titans before they need to make the big decisions.
Chicago can't think ahead, as it has to focus on winning the 60 minutes against the Titans to carry momentum into the regular season. Multiple position battles will be on the line, with plenty of storylines as guys compete for jobs on the team.
There are five questions the Bears have to answer after the game before everyone can move on to the regular season. Here are the biggest questions that must be answered when the clock hits zero.

Who won the Bears' RB3 job once and for all?
There is a legit question about the running back position after Kyle Monangai's injury in camp, with Salvon Ahmed and Roschon Johnson gunning for the RB3 job. Since Monangai is hurt, Ahmed and Johnson could still both make the 53-man roster, but when Monangai comes back, who is winning that RB3 job? That could determine who stays on the roster and who loses a job.
Did Jordan van den Berg do enough to justify being a starter in 2026?
The most impressive rookie of training camp has been van den Berg, as he has bullied offensive linemen throughout the last two weeks. Van den Berg could be a long-term starter for this franchise and has put in the work to join the starters by the end of camp. Still, many want to know if he could overtake Grady Jarrett as a starter or potentially replace Gervon Dexter Sr. if the trade rumors are true and he gets removed from the roster.
Will Cam Lewis or Xavier Woods start at safety in Week 1?
With Coby Bryant out for most of, if not all of, the 2026 season with his lower leg injury, that leaves Lewis or Woods as the starter at safety. Both guys have impressed, making the decision even harder for the Bears. It might be a make-or-break decision for Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, who has to get this defense to improve this season, or he could be on the hot seat.
Did Braxton Jones do enough to give Bears fans confidence to be the starting left tackle?
Jones hasn't been good for the Bears at left tackle lately. He's been injured, and when he returned, he struggled badly, including getting beaten up pretty badly against the Tennessee Titans in their joint practice. If he can at least show something in the final preseason game, maybe Bears fans will feel better about him starting until Ozzy Trapilo is 100% healthy.

Can Malik Muhammad be a reliable starter at nickel if he needs to be?
Kyler Gordon is still rehabbing and doesn't look ready for 2026. Muhammad has been filling in and battling for the nickel spot and has looked really good so far. Bears fans need to know that if he needs to fill in, he can get the job done and potentially develop into the full-time starter.
