One of the Chicago Bears' biggest NFC North division rivals, the Green Bay Packers, are dealing with an injury to their star quarterback Jordan Love.
It was first seen that Love injured his left thumb in the preseason game against the New York Jets. During practice on Monday, he had his finger wrapped to protect it.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst announced in his press conference on Tuesday that Love will undergo a procedure on his thumb, referring to it as a "ligament issue." Gutekunst hopes Love will return to practice next week and remains on track to start in Week 1.

Bears shouldn't be effected by the news at all
It's a big one to discuss, as Love is on a division rival and didn't particularly look great in his game against the Jets last week. With that being said, Love is still in line to play at the beginning of the regular season so the Bears will have to still face him.
That's not the end of the world for Chicago, as the Bears were 1-1 against the Packers and Love last year. Love went 20 of 29 for 330 yards and one touchdown to one interception in two matchups.
Chicago will have to wait until December for the first matchup in Week 14 against Green Bay. Their second matchup is just two weeks later.
The Bears want to have the Packers at full strength with no injuries, so the Cheeseheads won't have any excuses for losing to Chicago. It'll be good late-season battles as the Bears try to prove they can play among the elite in the NFL and the division.
