One of the big storylines for the Chicago Bears through the first four weeks of the 2025 season is the number of injuries they have had to deal with. The bye week couldn't have come at a better time, as the team receives multiple pieces of good news from practice.

Chicago practiced on Tuesday and will lift on Wednesday after that practice was cancelled. After that, the players will enjoy a four-day weekend.

The media was able to attend part of the practice, and many observations were made regarding players who have been injured. Key injured players who returned to practice included linebacker T.J. Edwards, tight end Colston Loveland, and cornerback Kyler Gordon. Darnell Wright and Grady Jarrett were not present at practice, with a new player, Jonah Jackson, also absent. No word on whether Jackson was hurt or had the practice off.

More players starting to return for the Bears

The defense appears to be getting back into form, despite still being without Jaylon Johnson, who will be out for an extended period. Edwards mentioned at practice that he is feeling good, and if there was a game this weekend for Chicago, Gordon said he would be playing in it.

Getting Loveland back in the lineup will be big for the offense, as they rely on having two tight ends in their system. While Cole Kmet got plenty of targets, it just didn't seem the ball was able to land in his direction.

Wright and Jarrett's absences shouldn't be read into too much since this is a bye week. Next week will be a significant determination of where they are.

Jackson will be someone to monitor entering next week's practices. The hope is that he's not injured, but it is interesting that he was not there.

Overall, Bears fans should be pleased with seeing a lot of their injured players back this week as they eagerly await seeing their hot-streaking team back on the field in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders.
