It is very rare to see an NFL prospect call their shot and actually end up on the team they so desired or forecasted, but in a way, that's exactly what Chicago Bears rookie Ruben Hyppolite was able to do.
When speaking to the Bears media after a recent minicamp practice, the fourth-round pick was wearing a hat which displayed a bear and the word "defense." Funny enough, when asked about it, Hyppolite said he had actually purchased the hat a few weeks before the draft.
"It's crazy how that works," the former Maryland star said.
It might not have been a situation where he grew up idolizing a particular Bears legend or came from a die-hard Bears fan family, but the story is still pretty entertaining. Hyppolite told the crowd of reporters that the hat came from a brand called "The Farm," and if you'd like to sport the same look, we found the hat in stock here.
Ruben Hyppolite comments on Caleb Williams being at voluntary practices
Along with sporting the fashionable cap, Hyppolite did talk some football. He was asked about quarterback Caleb Williams and the second-year pro showing up for voluntary practices this offseason.
"It's great. He cares obviously, about his team, about winning ... it's great. Seeing him around the building is very important for not only the team but for the young guys to see," the linebacker said.

Whether we are talking about the no. 1 overall pick from a year ago or someone who has already been seriously doubted, in Hyppolite, the Bears have a wide variety of young players on this roster. The common theme, though, is that they are all putting in the work whether it's required or not.
Hopefully, Hyppolite is able to prove Ryan Poles right by making an impact on the field in his first year. The former Terrapin has potential on either special teams or the defensive side of the ball.
