Bears training camp position preview: receivers blazing with talent in 2025

The Chicago Bears went from a team that went years without a legitimate wide receiver to having multiple legitimate receivers competing for that name. What does the room look like before we head into training camp?

2025 Bears wide receiver training camp overview

D.J. Moore

D.J. Moore is still the top wide receiver on the roster. However, he had chemistry issues with Caleb Williams as a rookie, and many compared Luther Burden to Moore pre-draft. So, when the Bears drafted Burden in the second round, it raised eyebrows about the future of Moore in Chicago.

Rome Odunze

Odunze was a top-10 pick, and while he had a fine season, the draft capital suggests that he was expected to do a bit more. Can he be the one to surpass Moore, or does the second-round rookie show that maybe Odunze was taken too high?

Luther Burden III

Burden will be pushing both Moore and Odunze to hold down their top two spots. Many saw Burden as a first-round talent, but a down 2024 season led to him being drafted by the Bears. He missed a significant amount of offseason work, so how far behind is he, and what impact will he make as a rookie?

Olamide Zaccheaus

Like the rest of the players on the roster, his role will be dictated by how quickly Burden catches on. With Burden out, Zaccheaus remains the starting slot option, and he could have a decent role this year before the rookie gets adjusted.

Devin Duvernay

Devin Duvernay brings elite return ability which should guarantee his roster spot in the top five.

Myles Boykin

Boykin plays plenty of special teams roles as a blocker and gunner. This is likely going to get him on the roster, although he will spend roster on the bubble.

Tyler Scott

Tyler Scott is a fourth-round pick from the past coaching staff, and he has shown so little in his career. With a lack of special teams ability, it is easy to see the team moving on from him this summer.
