The Chicago Bears fan base can finally rejoice for real that they will finally get their starting cornerbacks, Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, back in the starting lineup for their Week 13 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Just an hour and a half before kickoff, the Bears have shared their seven inactive players for the Eagles game:
- Case Keenum, Third QB
- Tyrique Stevenson, CB
- Ruben Hyppolite II, LB
- Dominique Robinson, DL
- Jahdae Walker, WR
- Noah Sewell, LB
- T.J. Edwards, LB
Bears fans officially know that Johnson and Gordon are back
Chicago's top two cornerbacks have been on IR over the last two months recovering from separate injuries. Johnson underwent core muscle surgery with issues in his groin. Gordon has been dealing with a calf injury that dates back to training camp.
The Bears will most likely have Johnson as the CB1, and Gordon is going to be in the slot. With Stevenson not playing in the game, Nahshon Wright is going to be the CB2. Wright is currently tied with his teammate, Kevin Byard III, for the NFL lead in interceptions with five on the year.
Bears fans are not surprised to see the linebackers as Edwards, Sewell, and Hyppolite were already ruled out for the game before the inactive list came out. Tremaine Edmunds was placed on IR last week, as Chicago will be rolling with D'Marco Jackson and Amen Ogbongbemiga as the starting linebackers, with Carl Jones Jr. getting some reps.

Despite all the injuries on defense, the Bears still have a monstrous game against the Eagles on Black Friday, with both teams being 8-3 on the season. After the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, the Chicago Bears must win to hold their top spot in the NFC North, so everyone needs to step up on the Bears' roster.
