The Chicago Bears are looking to get through this stretch of games without Caleb Williams with wins, starting against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, but the Windy City had a chance to check out the NFC North first.
All three teams played over the last few days, and everyone knew what happened to the Green Bay Packers. The Minnesota Vikings tried to stay undefeated this season, while the Detroit Lions were looking to bounce back from their Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Green Bay already played on Thursday, but the Lions and Vikings took the field on Sunday. Here's a look at the NFC North results from Week 3 and where the Bears stand afterward.
NFC North results from Week 3 action before Bears MNF game
While Bears fans already know how the Packers embarrassed themselves, let's go over it again because it's hilarious. The Packers lost to the Atlanta Falcons 35-14 on Thursday night, with the story being the Falcons putting up 498 yards of offense and Green Bay rushing for just 17 yards on nine carries. That was about as bad a loss as the Packers could have had.
Something about the New York Jets is giving NFC North teams a tough time, as they pushed the Lions until the end. Detroit's late-game turnover helped them win 31-24. Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was the star of the game with 99 rushing yards, 65 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns in the win.
Minnesota's offense looked horrendous, gaining only 231 yards, but somehow still beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-16. The Vikings' defense forced two turnovers and allowed the Bucs to convert just two of 17 third downs in the win.
Where the Bears stand after NFC North's Week 3 action concluded
Here is a look at the current standings in the NFC North, as the Bears enter the Eagles game to close out Week 3:

4. Green Bay Packers 1-2
The Vikings' offense looks so bad right now, with injuries to Kyler Murray earlier in the year, Jordan Mason, and most recently, Justin Jefferson. Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores, though, keeps finding ways to blitz and build great defenses.
Detroit has one of the NFL's easiest schedules, so of course they'll have early success. The Lions will continue to win through the season despite their secondary being a mess.
Green Bay is a walking disaster without Micah Parsons and Josh Jacobs. It doesn't help that they let two of their top receivers walk or get traded in the offseason, so the Packers may not be competitive this season.
Chicago needs to find a way to win without Williams and take down the Eagles. The schedule only gets tougher, so every early-season game counts. After this game, they still have games against the Jets, Falcons, and Packers, and that's before the Patriots and Seahawks are next.
