All eyes are on the Chicago Bears for their Monday Night Football showdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 action.

Much of the buzz centered on the Bears' trade for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who is expected to make his debut with Chicago. At 5-2, the Bears know they will need Simmons to help them against the defending Super Bowl champions and set themselves up to gun for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

With the Bears looking a bit different than they did about a week and a half ago, this performance against Chicago could be very interesting. Here are five bold predictions for the Bears in Week 8 against the Seahawks.

Bold Chicago Bears predictions for Week 8 showdown against Seahawks

T.J. Edwards returns from injury by leading the Bears in tackles with 15

Seattle is averaging 29 rushing attempts per game, so the Seahawks will want to run the ball. That should give Edwards plenty of opportunities to return after missing two games with a hamstring injury.

This season, Edwards hasn't led the team in tackles in any game, with Dillon Thieneman taking care of that for the most part, but with D'Marco Jackson questionable with his own injury, Edwards might be loading up on the stat line.

Luther Burden III won't lose his two-game momentum with over 100 all-purpose yards

Burden has been playing like a man possessed, with 225 receiving yards in the last two games. While the receiving yards might not reach the 130 yards he had in Week 7 against the New England Patriots, he can still be a playmaker in this game.

With Kyle Monangai out for the fourth straight game, watch for Burden to get a couple of wide receiver runs and plenty of targets from Caleb Williams, as he could go for over 100 yards.

Caleb Williams won't even get 200 passing yards vs. Seahawks

Since returning from his hamstring injury, Williams has thrown for 613 yards and three touchdowns, with zero interceptions in two games. Seattle has the NFL's best pass defense, allowing just 144.4 yards per game. Williams should get at least 145 yards, but the Bears might not even reach 200 passing yards, as it could be more about the running game.

Bears will sack Sam Darnold at least 5 times in this game

The Seahawks entered the week tied for 13th, allowing the most sacks this season (16). With Simmons making his debut and Montez Sweat back from his suspension, the Bears can put plenty of pressure on Darnold. Let's get a bit crazy here and say that Chicago gets at least five sacks in the contest.

Jeffery Simmons explodes with monster debut with Bears

Yes, Simmons is learning a whole new defensive scheme in a few days, but his natural ability to pressure the quarterback needs to be unleashed and let him do his thing. He already has four sacks in the 2026 season, so let's add another sack and throw in two quarterback pressures.

Add in, possibly a tackle for loss for Simmons, and that would make it a nightmare evening for the Seahawks' offensive line that just traded for All-Pro offensive guard Quenton Nelson.
