This might come as a shock to no one in Chicago, but Bears head coach Ben Johnson does have a plan of attack for the starters for Friday night's preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs.

While appearing on the Up & Adams, Johnson confirmed with Kay Adams that he will be playing the starters.

"Yep, we'll go ahead. We'll play. We'll see how long it is. We're going to get through a couple of days here at practice. We'll determine for how long but we need to go through this."

This lines up with what Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has said as well as he will also be playing the starters against the Bears. Reid has not confirmed either how long they will be on the field.

Bears' starters get one more chance to prove that the Bills' game was not a fluke

Bears fans were ecstatic with the starters in the team's 38-0 shutout victory over the Buffalo Bills. In particular, quarterback Caleb Williams got all the attention with his stellar performance as he led a 92-yard touchdown drive to open the game. Williams finished with six of 10 passes completed for 107 yards and one touchdown in the win.

The defense was even better, as they shut out the Bills for the entire game. Some would point out that Buffalo did not roll out their starters for the game, but it doesn't change the fact that the Bears' defense did that the whole game.

This will be a good test for Chicago's starters to go up against the Chiefs, who are considered football royalty over the last decade with Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. It might be tougher to game plan since they are on a short week, but it still prepares the team for tough competition in the regular season.

Chicago got off to a good start on Sunday against Buffalo. One more impressive performance would give the team the momentum that they need for their Week 1 showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
