There won't be any all-week long questions about who is starting for the Chicago Bears at quarterback. Tyson Bagent is going to hold the starting job once again.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson appeared on the ESPN Chicago station where he announced that Bagent was going to get the start in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers. That means Caleb Williams is going to miss his third straight game for the Bears.

Bagent completed 25 of 34 passes for 268 yards and one interception. He also ran for one yard on four carries in the win.

There are a lot of factors that could go into this decision. First, it's not like Bagent did anything to lose the job. Yes, he was very lucky that four additional interceptions did not stand after penalties called them off, but he still looked good throughout the game.
It helps that the Bears' defense is playing some great football. This is becoming one of the best units in the NFL with a great front seven that is sparking the great performances.
Chicago also doesn't need to have a lot of pressure on their quarterback since they have D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai. Those two alone are leading a top-five rushing attack in the NFL, thanks to Swift going over 100 yards in Week 1 and Monangai having two 100-yard games this season.
Bagent looks like he is comfortable with the offense with a tendency of being a bit of a gunslinger. He needs to be careful with the decisions that he is making, but can still play the position well.
What makes Bagent the safer choice over Case Keenum is that Bagent has the athletic ability that won't limit Johnson's play-calling. Bagent has the speed and mobility to do a lot of the same things as Williams can do.
The Packers have struggled this season with their 2-2 record. They most likely won't have Micah Parsons or Josh Jacobs for that game. With everything going on in Green Bay, the Bears seem to have a massive advantage right now.
This also feels like a move where Johnson is using the media to tell Williams that he won't play. The Bears are trying to protect Williams from moving too fast and will control when he is back on the field.

There is still plenty of intrigue with this game, but Bagent feels like the best choice to start in this game. Watch for him to have another solid outing for them.
