Ignoring the Cleveland Browns' 3-10 record, their defense is going to be a nightmare for the Chicago Bears to handle.

At the heart of that Browns defense is six-time Pro Bowler and former Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. Cleveland's favorite player is three sacks away from breaking the NFL record for sacks in a season, as he currently sits at 20.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson understands more than anything how good Garrett is as a player. The respect is there with Johnson.

"He's just a complete player," Johnson said. "I think when you look at the size, strength and speed, it's a unique package where he really has it all."

"He's done an incredible job. And just to look at the number of double teams, triple teams, as you see on tape, and yet, he still has 20 sacks on the season, it's pretty remarkable. It's a special season for him, no doubt."

Bears have a tough matchup with Garrett

The focus this week for the Bears will be on preparing the offensive line for the most dominant pass rusher they have faced all season. All the pressure will be on the tackles Darnell Wright and rookie Ozzy Trapilo.

A lot has been made about the play of Trapilo, who recently took over the left tackle job from Theo Benedet since the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The second-round pick has made his presence known on the line, with a more polished pass-blocking skill set than Benedet and Braxton Jones.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Garrett line up more often with Trapilo, as the Browns will test the rookie. Wright is well on his way to a Pro Bowl selection, so Cleveland would rather go after the rookie.

Chicago could end up using tight end Cole Kmet more often on the side where Garrett lines up to have an extra blocker double-teaming him. Kmet has been praised this season for his blocking, so the Bears could end up using him more for that versus his pass-catching. Rookie tight end Colston Loveland will pick up as a top pass catcher at tight end.

Garrett is a nightmare matchup for any of the other 31 offensive lines in the NFL. Chicago will try to do something most teams that have faced the Browns have not: stop Garrett.
