After Monday's rough day at training camp for the Chicago Bears' starters in practice, their star quarterback Caleb Williams bounced back in a big way.

All reports coming out of Bears camp on Wednesday were that Williams looked good and had great connections with wide receivers Rome Odunze and Olamide Zaccheaus. Some of the Bears reporters recalled some of the big moments from Williams at the practice.

"Caleb Williams bounced back from a slow start, couple nice completions to Rome, concludes with a drive for a GW FG in 2-minute," CBS Chicago Bears reporter Matt Zahn said.

"Overall, thought it was a good day for QB Caleb Williams," 247Sports' Zack Pearson said. "Slow start but turned it on as practice continued. Was sharp today."

Consistency is all that is missing from Williams

Bears fans are probably getting tired of each day reading about Williams being great one day and the offense looking bad the next. Week 1 of training camp was not great, as there were multiple pre-snap and Williams mistakes that had fans worried. Since then, it has been a mix of both good and bad.

Williams has shown throughout camp that he can make all the throws, either on the run or in the pocket. This training camp has been about learning head coach Ben Johnson's complex, but creative offense and getting into a rhythm with it.

Bears fans didn't get to see that from Williams in last week's 24-24 tie against the Miami Dolphins as the starters rested. The good news is Sunday's matchup with the Buffalo Bills will be different as all the starters will be playing, including Williams.

It'll be the first time fans will get an opportunity to see the progress being made by Williams and company. Backup quarterbacks Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum looked good in Johnson's offense against Miami, which should be a good sign of what's to come for Williams.

The wait is almost over to see Williams on the field in 2025, as fans want to start seeing some consistency from him. A good performance against a solid Bills defense would go a long way in doing that.
