It's easy to see how the cards are stacked for Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams to succeed in 2025.
Williams has a lot going for him in 2025, following the organizational changes made by the Bears in response to the mess of 2024. Those moves should pay off in a big way for Chicago in 2025, with some believing this is a big year for Williams.
Bleacher Report writer Brad Gagnon examined each quarterback in the NFL and explained why they are poised to dominate in 2025. Williams' was easy: everything new with Chicago will help him.
"The 2024 No. 1 overall pick should continue to ascend behind a completely retooled offensive line, and the defense already proved last year it has the potential to be a top-10 unit in support of Williams. On top of that, there's the presence of new head coach Ben Johnson."
Williams has everything he needs to have a strong 2025 season
Johnson and the offensive line are two of the biggest reasons this season will work in Williams' favor. The interior of the line is brand new, with Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, and Jonah Jackson now at the helm. They will provide the protection Williams needs so he isn't sacked 68 times again, as he was in 2024.
His new head coach will help with play calling. The Bears lacked the imagination of the offense, which is the specialty of Johnson. Detroit Lions fans can attest to that after what they have seen over the last couple of years with Johnson coaching their offense.
Chicago's offense is stacked with weapons all around. Running back D'Andre Swift will also benefit significantly from a new offensive line after a rough 2024 season, but has proven to be able to rush over 1,000 yards in a season with the right men up front. The pass catchers are crazy deep with D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, Cole Kmet, and Colston Loveland. As long as there is consistency from them, they can take over any secondary in the NFL.

This has the makings of a great 2025 season for Williams with potentially even a Pro Bowl in sight. An improvement over 2024, though, would at least be a good starting spot.
