There are a lot of emotions coming from the Chicago Bears' massive 22-16 overtime win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.
This is especially true from Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who went from being frustrated the first three quarters to flipping the switch and bringing his team back from being 10 down in the fourth quarter to win in overtime. Williams finished with 19 of 34 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, rushing for another 30 yards on three carries.
After the game, Williams spoke about the team and had strong comments about his head coach, Ben Johnson. Williams praised his head coach and the coaching staff for their job.
"I got the best coach in the world, let's put it that way," Williams said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma. "We have the best coaching staff in the world. So, you put the talent with the coaches and the people that care, you can strive for anything, you can reach anything, you can go after any goal. And when you go out there on that football field, your belief is at an all-time high between players, between coaches, and you have outcomes like this."
Johnson has certainly earned that title after the job he's doing with the Bears
This was a 5-12 team a season ago, with a lot of bad things happening, from the worst rushing offense to allowing 68 sacks. All of that has flipped with a top-five rushing attack and offensive line.
Even Williams looks like a different quarterback, taking fewer sacks and forcing fewer passes than he did in 2024. He's more confident in his play and making better decisions with the football.
Johnson is a big reason for Williams' development as a passer and the team's improvement. The culture in Chicago has completely changed as the team has learned how to win all kinds of games, from blowouts to tight contests.
Chicago's coaching staff deserves a ton of love for their work, from Al Harris coaching the secondary to defensive coordinator Dennis Allen helping the team start creating turnovers at such a high rate. While Johnson calls the plays, offensive coordinator Declan Doyle has done a great job in helping the offense move forward as well.

The Bears are set up for success the rest of the season and going into the playoffs because of Johnson and his staff.
