Chicago Bears fans might still be trying to inhale oxygen after that thrilling win over the Green Bay Packers in overtime.

The Packers were up by as many as 16-6 with over five minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams did what he has done five other times before this season: lead a comeback and throw the game-tying touchdown to undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker to send the game to overtime.

From the defensive stop by the Bears to kick off overtime to Williams' 46-yard touchdown to DJ Moore to win the game, it was an incredible end to the game to win it 22-16. Chicago is now 11-4 on the season and has put itself in the driver's seat to win the NFC North with a 1.5-game lead.

This isn't your old Chicago Bears team...a new era begins

If anything was shown on the cold atmosphere of Soldier Field, the Bears are not the same team that fans remember. The Matt Eberflus teams would have folded and lost those games.

Ben Johnson's Bears are different. When they face adversity, they know they can win any game at any time. They have Williams, who can make, as he says, any throw he wants. He certainly did with his touchdown passes to Walker and Moore.

The Bears' offensive line is helping with getting running lanes open to lead a top-five rushing attack while protecting Williams in the pocket. Last year's worst rushing attack and 68 sacks on Williams show a significant difference between 2024 and 2025.

Even the defense is different as players like Nahshon Wright create turnovers and hold firm in the red zone. Chicago allows a ton of yards, but they get the job done when they need to.

What has made the most significant difference in this team is Johnson. Even when he makes mistakes in a game, he keeps his team's heads in the game and gives them the confidence they need to finish the game strong. That kind of culture he built is nothing Bears fans have seen in a long time.

Chicago should be proud of this team and know they can pour their hearts into it, because this isn't the same old Bears. This Bears team is an elite squad that is one win away from winning the NFC North and earning the number-two seed in the NFC.
