The Chicago Bears have shared their inactives for the Week 16 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, and it confirms all the reports about running back D'Andre Swift.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported earlier in the day that Swift was expected to be active for the Packers game. Chicago's official inactive list has confirmed that Swift will be active for the contest.

  • Luther Burden III, WR
  • Rome Odunze, WR
  • Ruben Hyppolite II, LB
  • Case Keenum, QB
  • Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB
  • Jonathan Ford, DL

Chicago will have their top back and linebacker in the game

Swift was listed as questionable for the game against Green Bay with a groin injury that was bothering him all week. He will be splitting the carries with rookie Kyle Monangai throughout the game.

The inactive list is also good news for linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who the team announced earlier in the day to be active from the IR and looks to be in line to play. Edmunds will be joining T.J. Edwards in the starting lineup with D'Marco Jackson and Noah Sewell in the rotation.

Chicago's bad news is that Burden and Odunze are officially inactive, as expected. They were both ruled out for the game before the inactive list came out.

There are some key injuries for the Bears going into the game, but they do have Edmunds returning at the right time, and Swift will continue playing. Everyone will be playing as it is the most crucial game of the season for the Bears as they fight to hold on to first place in the NFC North.
