Not many Chicago Bears thought before the season began that they would have a situation where both wide receivers, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, would miss the same game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 for the NFC North lead.
That's the situation the Bears are in, with Odunze missing his third straight game due to a foot injury. Burden is out after hurting his ankle in the 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15.
Chicago is now left with two wide receivers down and has to turn to DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus as the top two starters. As for the third receiver, that would go to either return specialist Devin Duvernay or an undrafted rookie who might get his first real action on offense.
Jahdae Walker just became the make or break performer for the Bears
Bears fans might remember Jahdae Walker as the preseason hero for the team in two games where he scored fourth quarter touchdowns to give Chicago the lead and the win. Walker did it against the Miami Dolphins with his extraordinary touchdown celebration that went viral. Still, most importantly, he delivered the game-winning score against the Kansas City Chiefs with under 30 seconds left, helping him win a roster spot.
In the regular season, Walker has only played in six games, taking eight snaps on offense and 61 snaps on special teams. He has racked up three tackles on special teams, but has yet to make his first career reception.
It'll be interesting to see how much Walker will be featured in the offense, as Duvernay was the slot receiver in the Browns game with Burden leaving early. Walker didn't play in that game, so he might see his name get called more in this contest.

This is a big opportunity for the undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M to show the Bears fan base why he earned a roster spot on the team and how good he can be.
