The Chicago Bears are in the process of making their final roster cuts as they look to finalize it to 53 men. Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle might have tipped his hand a bit on who might make it on the roster.

Doyle spoke with the media on Monday where he shared his thoughts on undrafted rookie wide receiver Jahdae Walker. The first year offensive coordinator praised the former Texas A&M receiver for his play and passion of the game.

"There are certain guys that walk outside for practice and it’s like a kid going to recess, Doyle said via Brad Biggs. "They can’t freaking wait to get rolling and Jahdae is that way."

Jahdae loves football. He showed up in that last drive (at KC) and the play he made on our sideline was one of the better catches that I’ve seen. He’s just a guy that has worked everyday. He embodies the kind of love that you want for football on our team."

Walker was a star in the preseason as he finished with eight receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his scores came in the fourth quarter to give Chicago the lead, including a game-winning touchdown with two seconds left in the 29-27 thriller in Kansas City on Friday.

Walker is a lock to make the Bears' 53-man roster right?

Bears fans have loved the way Walker has played since the beginning of training camp. He has proven to have reliable hands and great concentration with catching the ball on tight one-on-one coverage against corners.

This is a deep wide receiver room in Chicago, as general manager Ryan Poles has some impossible decisions to make. Walker has so far survived the waves of cuts, as his colleagues, like JP Richardson and Samori Toure, have already learned their fates.

There will be more who are on the chopping block between Tyler Scott, Miles Boykin, Maurice Alexander, and Walker. The bigger question will be whether the Bears want to carry five or six receivers on the roster.

A lot of Bears fans on Tuesday are cheering for Walker to make it as he has been stellar all of August.
