This is a loss that is going to sting for a long time after the Chicago Bears fell to the Los Angeles Rams 20-17 in overtime of the NFC Divisional Round.

The signature play of the game was Bears quarterback Caleb Williams leading a solid drive in overtime, only to be intercepted by Rams defensive back Kam Curl after trying to connect with DJ Moore. Los Angeles would go on to take advantage of the turnover and score a game-winning field goal against the Bears.

A lot of fingers pointed towards Moore as the blame for Williams throwing that interception, as it appeared that he slowed up on the route. After the game, Williams broke down what happened on the play that led to the interception.

"Just a miscommunication between (DJ Moore) and I," Williams said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma. "Tried to flatten him off on the safety, and he kept it vertical from what I saw in the moment."

Caleb Williams and DJ Moore were not on the same page in Bears' loss

It was an up-and-down performance from Williams, who finished with a completion percentage of 54.7% for 257 yards and two touchdowns to three interceptions. He also added 40 yards on the ground in the loss.

Moore was having a pretty solid game with five receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. He gutted it out after missing some time due to an injury, but ultimately, his mistake cost them the game.

Many people have come to Williams' defense and assigned the blame to Moore for the interception. It's not exactly a great look to see a wide receiver essentially jogging on the play and not really thinking that he's going to get the football.

A play like that is going to haunt Williams and Moore for a long time, as it was the defining moment of a game in which Williams threw an incredible game-tying touchdown to Cole Kmet with under 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, no one will remember that moment yards from now, as they will just remember the interception.
