There's a lot of attention on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams that dates back to being picked number one overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, but people seem to always make fun of him for something he does: painting his nails.

Williams has been doing this since Day 1, and it even dates back to his college days, when he would usually have a message on his nails or use a certain color for a special meaning. While appearing on Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby's podcast "The Rush with Maxx Crosby", Williams was asked about people's commentary on his nails, and he gave the perfect response to it.

"It's just like wearing pink cleats and pink headbands and things like that. It's just gel on my nails. People feel a certain way about it in a masculant sport. I give no f***s to be honest with you. I could care less."

Caleb Williams doesn't care what people think about his painted nails

Williams has always stuck true to himself and is unapoligiec about it, which might rub some people the wrong way. For Bears fans, they love the authenticity to Williams that they have rarely seen in a franchise quarterback in the Windy City.

If Bears fans are being honest, what Williams does with his nails is his business, and people shouldn't really care about it. He is doing a harmless act for good reasons, so why would it bother people?

It's just another thing people find to criticize Williams for. Over the last two years, he has taken heat for several things, including his accuracy, football IQ, and painted nails.

Everyone is always looking to find something to try to bring Williams down, but nothing fazes him. It's what makes him the perfect face for the franchise and the man who could finally end the over-40-year drought for a Super Bowl title in Chicago.
