The legend that is being built regarding Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams keeps growing by the day.
Williams helped lead an improbable 18-point comeback to give the Bears a 31-27 win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card game. He finished the game with 361 yards and two touchdowns, marking the seventh time this season that Williams has led a game-winning drive and a comeback win, and the largest of his career.
Bears tight end Cole Kmet shared with the media what the locker room was like after the team fell behind 21-3 at halftime. Kmet said Williams had the right message for the Bears.
“We are going to have the greatest comeback in Bears history.”
Caleb Williams' prediction will ring in Bears fans' ears for a long time
This is just another example of why this Bears team is so different from any other in the past two decades. Bears fans would never have heard Williams say anything like that, and say it with conviction and belief.
The swagger Williams had was something he did not have as much of during his rookie season, after a 5-12 season. It would be hard for anyone to have that after rattling off 10 straight losses during the year.
It's been a completely different story in 2025: while the Bears have not looked particularly great for a full 60 minutes, they have proven to be resilient no matter who they play. Nothing seems to faze this team or its starting quarterback as Chicago finds ways to win games.

They are going to need more of that confidence as the team rolls into the NFC Divisional Round set to face off against the Los Angeles Rams, as the Bears are three wins away from a Super Bowl title, a sentence no one in the Windy City thought was going to be uttered at the beginning of the season.
