It's now becoming a common theme in 2025 that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is making some history with the franchise.
Williams is currently 107 yards away from passing Erik Kramer's franchise record for passing yards in a season. Chicago's second-year quarterback is also 270 yards away from becoming the Bears' first 4,000-yard passer in a season, the only franchise that has not achieved that in the NFL.
There is a bit of franchise history that Williams has already surpassed, but it hasn't been talked about as often. Williams has the most wins as the Bears' starting quarterback in their first two seasons in the Super Bowl Era.
Williams is winning more than any Bears QB has to start their Chicago careers
The 2024 season will be one to forget, as the Bears went 5-12 in Williams' first season in the NFL. It was not the kind of start he wanted, and unfortunately, it was the kind of start that Bears fans have become accustomed to with their new signal-callers.
This year has completely flipped the script on that as the Bears are 11-5 on the season and winners in the NFC North. The 2025 campaign has been entirely different from the one Williams saw a season ago.
Even though it is only his second year, Williams has shown improvement from 2024 to 2025 in his stats, except for completion percentage. Williams has thrown for 3,730 yards and 25 touchdowns to six interceptions. He's also rushed for 387 yards and three touchdowns.

Chicago can get used to this type of performance as Williams looks to be playing the part of franchise quarterback for a very long time. These numbers are worthy of a guy who is going to be a star in the NFL.
