In a critical Week 18 showdown with the Detroit Lions, the Chicago Bears need all their starters to ensure they get the number two seed in the NFC.
The final Week 18 injury report came out, and it's more optimistic than it has been in the past. Only one player has been ruled out of the game: defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, who is still in concussion protocol.
Four players are considered questionable for the Lions game, including star wide receiver Rome Odunze with a foot injury. Here is the full injury report:
1/2/2026 Final Bears Injury Report
- Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, DE (Concussion, Out)
- Jaquan Brisker, S (Illness, Questionable)
- Nick McCloud, CB (Illness, Questionable)
- Rome Odunze, WR (Foot, Questionable)
- Ozzy Trapilo, OL (Knee/Quad, Questionable)
Bears still have questions about who will play in Week 18
It still feels like it might be a long shot for Odunze to play in the game, as he was limited in the final practice of Week 18 after sitting out the first two. Bears fans shouldn't expect Odunze out there, but they will have Olamide Zaccheaus (illness) and Luther Burden III (ankle) in there at wide receiver, so still plenty of targets for Caleb Williams to throw it to.
The concern is coming out of the secondary with now two more players sick with McCloud and Brisker. McCloud hurts Chicago more for the depth, but Brisker is a starter who can make a difference. Losing him would be a massive loss to the secondary.
For the offensive line, the good news is that starter Jonah Jackson had a full day of practice after also being out of practice with an illness. The bigger concern is left tackle Ozzy Trapilo, who is dealing with a knee and quad injury. It might have to be Theo Benedet at left tackle if Trapilo can't go.
