One thing has been clear this season with Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, and that is he is ready for the big moments and to lead this franchise to the promised land that is the Super Bowl.

From his six game-winning drives to his insane touchdown passes throughout the season, Williams has ice in his veins when it matters the most. He told reporters that much when they asked him about his headspace going into the postseason.

"My mindset is that it is another game," Williams said via CHGO. "Go out there and win the game. I am built for these moments. I have been in a bunch of big games before. I think I can provide a spark for the team."

Caleb Williams truly is "built" for these moments

This is not the first time we have heard that Williams was "built for this moment," as his head coach, Ben Johnson, said the exact same thing this week. That kind of belief from the coach and his quarterback is one of the main reasons this season is so different from any other for the Bears.

Bears fans never heard Matt Nagy say that about Mitch Trubisky before their 2018 playoff game, nor was that comment ever uttered by Matt Eberflus when he spoke about Justin Fields and Williams. That's a feeling that has to organically come out, and Johnson has instilled that confidence in Williams that everyone already knew he had, but just needed the right person to lead him in the right direction.

Williams has made major strides from 2024 to 2025, not only in confidence but also in stats: he broke a franchise record for passing yards in a season (3,942) and threw 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions, with three rushing scores. The franchise quarterback talked about the big difference he is seeing in himself from last year to this season.

"I feel that I've grown tremendously so far this year, and it's exciting to see. ... At this moment, it's at an all-time high for myself of confidence. I'm going to go into the game that way."

Williams has a chance to be a real hero in Chicago if he can lead the Bears to their first postseason victory since 2011 as they face the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card. If Williams continues to show his cold-bloodedness like the way he has, this Bears team is going to make a serious run.
