Most NFL fans see Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams as the guy who has come from behind to win games four times this season, but what he is doing off the field shows his true colors.

The NFL Players Association has named Williams the Week 11 Community MVP for his work with his Caleb Cares Foundation. Williams hosted 40 members from his youth football team, Caleb Williams Elite, to attend an AI workshop in partnership with Microsoft and watch Williams and the Bears in their 24-20 win over the New York Giants.

“So many young people look up to athletes. Caleb Cares exists to empower young people with two essential truths: kindness matters because you never know what battle someone else is fighting; and with belief and hard work, any dream is possible,” Williams said in a statement. “I’m truly honored to receive the NFLPA Community MVP Award for our work and for leading with heart as we empower the next generation.”

Williams continues to show his true character

It's a shame that Williams has gotten a bad reputation from the general public on multiple fronts. From tales of him not knowing the Bears' playbook last year to being known as a diva, Williams has done nothing but show the opposite in his time with the Bears.

Last year, there were some body language issues that Bears head coach Ben Johnson has worked with him to improve this year. That has been reflected in the field as Williams has been more poised and confident with the game-winning drives he has led.

While Bears fans love to see the player development in Williams, the person he is as well is just as crucial for the work he is doing in the Chicago area, from working with his youth football team to even handing out free hot dogs to residents. Williams has done a masterful job of ingraining himself in the community and doing great work in the process.
