Everyone in the Windy City is wondering the same thing about the Chicago Bears as they try to figure out what they are going to do in the 2026 NFL Draft.

This year's draft might be different from last year, as more of the focus could be on defense, as the Bears look to add talent at defensive tackle, edge rusher, and in the secondary. Chicago might be thinking other thoughts, as some believe they could be strong candidates to trade down in the first round to collect more draft picks.

CHSN Bears analyst Clay Harbor shared his list of three prospects the team should target if they decide to trade down in the draft. Harbor had Miami defensive back Keionte Scott at three, Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller at two, and Missouri edge rusher Zion Young at one.

Defense is the only correct choice for the team to select if they trade down, as this is a unit that ranked in the bottom 10 in total defense. This Bears team lost four starters in the secondary and lacked the pass rush needed, finishing in the bottom 10 in sacks with just 35 in 17 games.

Young should be the top option if he is still available, depending on how far the Bears drop in the draft. He's the complete package as a pass rusher, and someone Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen can develop in the next year or two to be a starter.

Miller would be a solid choice as well, but he would be joining a very crowded defensive line that already has three new players in the rotation. Chicago does need someone who could become the successor to Grady Jarrett and work alongside Gervon Dexter for years.

The Bears have met with Scott, and there is legitimate interest there and for good reason. Scott is versatile as a great blitzing corner who can create turnovers, and his speed makes him dangerous as a return specialist. He could easily jump into the secondary to help as a nickel corner or potentially compete with Tyrique Stevenson for the CB2 job.

Among the three prospects Harbor named, there really aren't any bad options between them, as they could all develop into solid starters within the defense.
