Not many people in Chicago know what football fans need to show that Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is a special talent in the NFL.

Look at all the throws he has made just this past season alone: from the Williams to Rome Oduzne fourth-down pass in the Green Bay Packers NFC Wild Card game to the Williams game-tying touchdown pass to Cole Kmet in the NFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams. And that's just the playoffs and doesn't include the incredible touchdowns he had in the regular season.

There is no one who understands this better than Bears head coach Ben Johnson, who had strong thoughts on Williams' future in the NFL.

"Our quarterback is going to be a special player in this league," Johnson said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma.

While Williams may not have the Pro Bowls, All-Pro selections, and MVPs to show for it, he made huge strides from his rookie year in 2024 to this past season. He finished with a Bears record 3,942 yards passing and 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions, adding another 388 yards on the ground and three more scores.

There was no quarterback in the NFL who led more comeback and game-winning scoring drives than Williams did in the history of the league, as he did seven times in 2025. Not even the greats like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning ever done that.

Williams doesn't get enough credit for this as well, but he is always available for his team. He has never missed any of the 34 games he has played in through the first two years in the NFL. That's a pretty impressive feat that doesn't get talked about as often as it should.

There are still things Williams can work on as a passer to improve, with accuracy being the biggest. Johnson contributed to throwing a lot at Williams, and the quarterback deserves some grace period, as he is still young and learning from one of the league's great offensive minds.

No one will deny that Williams has a future in the NFL and will be great for a long time. Watch what he can do when he has more than a year's experience in Johnson's offense, as that can get really scary for the rest of the 31 teams in the league.
