Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson was criticized for his comments that he made about the Green Bay Packers Matt LaFleur.

"To be quite frank with you, I kind of enjoyed beating Matt LaFleur twice a year."

Remember how those words echoed through the NFL and caused quite a stir with fans, especially those in Wisconsin? Well, some thought that wasn't going to be a smart thing to say, and it almost didn't happen.

It might have taken three games to do it, but Johnson is a man of his word and got the job done. After splitting the series 1-1 in the regular season, the Bears needed an 18-point comeback in the second half of the NFC Wild Card game against those Packers to take them down 31-27 and give Johnson his second win over LaFleur of the season.

Ben Johnson proves to not be a liar and got his second win against LaFleur

This was a historical win for the Bears as it was the largest comeback in franchise postseason history. It was also the franchise's largest comeback against the Packers.

Some people doubted Johnson as a first-year head coach for a franchise that hasn't been to the postseason in five years and hasn't won a playoff game in over 10 years. He transformed the offense from a bottom-five unit to a top-five one in the NFL.

Johnson is proving that a cultural change is all this franchise needed to be in a much better spot than it was last year under Matt Eberflus. He helped rebuild the offensive line and get Caleb Williams into Superman before getting the job done and leading the team to not only a playoff appearance but a win.

Fans may not love Johnson's way of going about things, but he got the job done and backed up his word when it mattered the most.
