The new Top 100 players in the NFL list will be released soon, and there was a ton of buzz after Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons shared a clip saying that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was the best player in the league.

Parsons praised Williams but added that if Williams is ice, then Parsons is fire. Well, Williams finally faced the media for the first time since those comments were made and had a chance to give the perfect answer.

"Just funny," Williams said. "You know, obviously it's good jokes. We're football players and on opposite teams, so it's a little rivalry, but nothing taken to heart. Things like that. He said he's fire and I'm ice. See which one holds over."

Caleb Williams reacts to Micah Parsons' comments about him being the best player in the NFL

Williams proved his worth in the NFL last year, leading the Bears to an 11-6 record with six of those wins being comebacks and game-winning drives. He also helped the team win their Wild Card game against Parsons' Packers, which took an impressive 18-point comeback to get it done.

It's becoming clear that Williams will be ranked in the top 100 for the first time this season and could reach a very high ranking as a result. While he was flattered by Parsons' comments, Williams had to confess that he probably couldn't say a Packers player is the best in the league.

"Probably not, but that's on my side of how I do things. But, obviously, he's a phenomenal player. You worry about him every single snap. So, kudos to him and speedy recovery."

The Bears would like to see Parsons fully recovered and back facing them in Week 5 of the 2026 season, so the Green Bay fans can stop using the crutch that the Bears only beat the Packers twice last season because Parsons was hurt. How perfect would it be to see Williams get one up on Parsons with him on the field?

This Bears-Packers rivalry has continued to improve over the last year, and Williams and Parsons will play a major role in keeping it great.
