When all the attention is on him or his back is up against the wall, Chicago Bears fans have learned all too well that's the time quarterback Caleb Williams is at his best.

Time after time last year, Williams proved it with his comebacks and clutch throws to help the Bears win multiple games throughout the season. Williams returned to Halas Hall for the Bears' offseason program, and he talked about leading the franchise now that the spotlight is more on them than ever entering 2026.

"I’ve always expected this because I wanted to be here," Williams said via The Score's Chris Emma. "This is where I wanted to be. I’ve wanted to be in this position. I’ve always said if winning games and championships comes with a little bit more light, then so be it. We’re going to keep chugging along. I have goals in mind and what I want to reach myself. It mainly deals with winning."

Expectations were low for the Bears and Williams going into the 2025 season, but they weren't by the end of the season. Williams threw for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions, leading the Bears to an 11-6 record and winning the NFC North. He also led an NFL record seven comebacks and game-winning drives to top off a spectacular season.

Entering the offseason, things are much different in Chicago, as more conversations now center on the Bears being Super Bowl contenders in 2026. Also, Williams is facing more pressure with MVP aspirations being discussed in his future.

It's fair to start having these conversations, as Williams, being a former number one overall pick in 2024, signed up for this. He was expected to be the savior of Bears football and help this team return to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2000s.

No matter what happens, as evident from last year, nothing fazes this guy. Williams wants all the heat and is embracing it because he knows how good he is when the lights are brightest on him.
