The Chicago Bears aren't even close to being done making moves on the roster with the focus continuing to be on defense.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Bears will be signing defensive lineman Kentavius Street on a one-year contract when the new league year begins. Street has played the last three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and has previously played for the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles.

Street has 125 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits, 10.5 sacks, two pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 85 games. He has started just 10 career games.

Bears to sign defensive lineman Kentavius Street

Last season with the Falcons, Street racked up 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and two sacks on the year. He is better known as a backup defensive tackle for the Falcons and the other franchises he has played for.

Chicago needed depth at defensive tackle and edge rusher with multiple players entering free agency. The Bears already signed defensive tackle Neville Gallimore earlier in the week as one of their first outside signings. They also brought back Daniel Hardy.

This isn't the type of move that is going to push the needle on the defensive line and completely change the way the Bears are playing, but it's a good rotational player to have. Steet can come in for Gallimore, Grevon Dexter, and Grady Jarrett on the inside or rotate with Montez Sweat and Austin Booker off the edge, and help with the rotation of players and make an impact from Day 1. Overall, Street is going to be a very good run stopper for the Bears and help fill a need that has been there since last year.

Chicago makes a nice move to improve the roster and general manager Ryan Poles doesn't show signs of slowing down.
