Dan Orlovsky certainly didn't help with the recent Caleb Williams disrespect

Ever since ESPN NFL analyst Bart Scott claimed that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray would be the best quarterback in the NFC North, there has been a debate over who it truly is, but no one seems to be mentioning the Chicago Bears signal-caller, Caleb Williams.

That trend seemed to continue as ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky added his own thoughts to the ongoing commentary while appearing on the Pat McAfee Show. For Orlovsky, there are two clear-cut top quarterbacks in the NFC North, and he knows the exact order.

"If I'm ranking the NFC North quarterbacks, Jared Goff is at one, and Jordan Love is at two...That would be a clear one and two for me."

It appears everyone keeps ignoring the kind of season Williams had in 2025. He threw for a franchise record 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Williams took his team to the NFC Divisional Round by completing an NFL record seven comeback and game-winning drives.

Not to mention that Williams, while the completion percentage isn't great, is doing other statistical things that are impressive. He is on pace to set the NFL record for interception percentage, having thrown picks on 1.2% of his passes.

While Williams has received his praise in the offseason, most analysts are hesitant to give him all of it as they need to see another year of consistency and growth. The accuracy is a big thing, but it's also just one year of success he has had, so more needs to be seen before putting him at the level that Goff and Love are at.

This appears to be the trend for the rest of the offseason for the Bears, so the fans should get used to it. It's a matter of time before Williams has a chance to prove them wrong.
