Oh please let this happen!

Chicago Bears fans would like to forget about the past nightmare of having wide receiver Chase Claypool on the team.

Back in 2022, the Bears traded a 2023 second-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire Claypool, and wow, was that a bad move for the team. He played in just 10 games, catching 18 passes for 191 yards and one touchdown, and was traded the next season to the Miami Dolphins for a sixth-round pick.

Well, it appears the Bears might not be done with Claypool after all. It was reported that the Green Bay Packers had Claypool in for a tryout with the team.

If anything, this is great news for the Bears. The fan base is still haunted by what he did as he set the franchise back for that trade. Pittsburgh used the Bears' second-round pick to get starting cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

Chicago would love to have that trade back, as they took a chance on Claypool and just never lived up to the hype. He struggled to establish any rhythm and was just inconsistent in catching the football.

Now, there might be a chance that the Packers could sign him, which would be an all-time hilarious signing for Green Bay. The Packers already have so much trouble at wide receiver with guys like Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks no longer there.

Maybe if Claypool can make the Packers suffer the way he did with the Bears, it would bring some happiness to the Bears fan base in this situation. His signing doesn't feel like a strong chance of actually happening, though, so fans in Chicago shouldn't buy too much stock into it.
