There are not a lot of certainties in this life, but the Chicago Bears' rise to new heights in 2026 feels like a lock.

Chicago has all the weapons on that side of the ball to look even better than they did last year with their top 10 offense and third-ranked rushing attack. Bleacher Report writer Kristopher Knox believes the best-case scenario for the Bears' offense in 2026 is the group taking another massive leap under head coach Ben Johnson.

"The Bears experienced a tremendous leap offensively this past season, due in no small part to the arrival of head coach Ben Johnson. The former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator produced a scheme that highlighted the roster's strengths and significantly aided the development of quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams posted a 90.1 quarterback rating and led six fourth-quarter comebacks during the regular season while leading an offense that fell just outside of the top five.

Chicago lost offensive coordinator Declan Doyle and traded wide receiver D.J. Moore. However, it still has Johnson and talented young skill players like Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, Cole Kmet, and Colston Loveland. If Williams and the rest of the offense can take another positive step in their second season under Johnson, Chicago should easily field a top-five offense."

Best-case scenario for Bears' offense in 2026 is another leap taken

There's really no reason to believe that the Bears' offense can't take the kind of leap that everyone expects it to. It might be tough since they were already sixth in the NFL in total offense last season, but there are areas where they could improve from last year to 2026.

It all starts with Williams, who has been developing more quickly under Johnson than he did as a rookie in 2024 when Matt Eberflus was the head coach. After throwing for a franchise record 3,942 yards in 2025, Williams showed the incredible arm talent he has, and with some work on his accuracy, he could be a lock as a top-five QB in the NFL.

The weapons around Williams are young and impressive, with D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai making up one of the top-five running back duos in the league. The combined for over 1,700 yards last year and have a chance to do even better this season.

In the passing game, between Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland, three of the top four receivers from last year are back and about to hit the prime of their careers. Kalif Raymond and rookie Zavion Thomas got a lot of buzz around them from OTAs over the last three weeks, which should help the offense.

Johnson is an offensive genius who knows how to use the talent around him to the best of his ability. This Bears offense is about to have an explosive 2026 season that could rank as the best by the end of the year.
