The Chicago Bears' youth movement is here, folks. If the 2025 season showed us anything, it's that the Bears are primed to be a mainstay atop the NFC for years to come. Ben Johnson's first season as head coach was spectacular, as there were so many key areas of improvement.
But one thing that stands out more than others is the encouraging rookie class on offense, which featured Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, and Kyle Monangai. Those three figure to be the centerpieces of the offense for years to come, and Rome Odunze is still on the younger side and a high-end contributor on offense as well.
Unfortunately, this could spell the end of DJ Moore's time with the Bears, as he posted career lows in 2025. Chicago could angle to trade him this offseason for the right price, and these three teams would be seamless fits for his services.
Buffalo Bills
There is one obvious connection with Moore and the Buffalo Bills. In the 2020 and 2021 seasons, while DJ Moore was still on the Carolina Panthers, the team's offensive coordinator was Joe Brady, who is now the head coach of the Bills. With Buffalo also desperately needing another reliable wide receiver, Moore could be sent to Buffalo. In those two seasons Moore and Brady overlapped, the veteran wide receiver caught 159 passes for 2,350 yards and eight touchdowns.
Chicago could send Moore to a different conference, and the Bills could have heavy interest given the connection. If the Bills had Moore on their roster for the NFL playoffs this year, it's very likely that Buffalo is in the Super Bowl right now - that's how bad Buffalo's offensive weaponry is at the moment.
Kansas City Chiefs
Right now, the Kansas City Chiefs are about $54 million over the cap for the 2026 NFL season, but they also have some options to clear that cap space and have enough money to get a bit frisky in the coming offseason. Like the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs just did not have a good enough group of pass-catchers in 2025. Rashee Rice is a good player, but he's more of a lower-end no. 1 WR, and speedster WR Xavier Worthy just has not made a consistent enough impact through his first two years in the NFL.
Tight end Travis Kelce is a shell of his former self, and even the running back room has been below-average. Getting a floor-raising, legitimate 1,000-yard wide receiver in the building would do wonders for that offense, and it's important to note that the Chiefs brought Eric Bieniemy back as the offensive coordinator. Bieniemy just spent the 2025 season with Chicago as the running backs coach, so he could vouch for the Chiefs to acquire Moore in a trade.
Los Angeles Chargers
And yet another AFC team that needs a pass-catching boost, the Los Angeles Chargers fell short once again in 2025. The main issue with the Chargers was an offensive line that totally collapsed after Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater went down, but even with those two healthy and in the lineup, the interior of that unit needs a major overhaul.
But the Chargers also need another offensive weapon. All of Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, and Quentin Johnston had at least 735 receiving yards in 2025. As for the veteran Allen, he's a free agent in 2026, so the Chargers could look to get a bit younger and more productive if they essentially replace him with Moore.
A hypothetical WR room of Moore, Ladd, McConkey, and Quentin Johnston might be enough to put a legitimate strain on opposing defenses. Moore can do a bit of everything at the position, while McConkey thrives in short-area quickness and underneath routes, and Johnston thrives as more of a downfield threat.

Moore on the Chargers makes a lot of sense.
