In the doldrums of the NFL offseason, it doesn't take all that much to get a fan base excited, but Chicago Bears fans know that something special is brewing with Caleb Williams and the offense.

Although there are plenty of comments being made by head coach Ben Johnson to get people fired up about the 2026 season, it really only took one throw from Caleb Williams to Rome Odunze to do even more than just rile up the fans in a time where everyone is starved for anything football-related to happen.

The Bears' official Twitter/X account posted a throw from Williams that hit Odunze in stride 60-plus yards down the field, and while the degree of difficulty on the throw is insane, it's how easy Williams made it look that should have the rest of the NFC paying close attention for the upcoming season.

Caleb Williams drops an absolute dime to Rome Odunze at Chicago Bears OTAs

The throw has been drawing a ton of attention from fans and even fellow quarterbacks. Chase Daniel and Case Keenum hyped up the throw from their own official accounts, and the NFL world is definitely going to be taking the Bears more seriously this season, especially with the way they played in 2025.

The Bears already won the NFC North last year in the first year under head coach Ben Johnson. The offense took some major leaps forward with Williams especially looking like the guy they drafted #1 overall.

The 2024 season was a really tough one for Williams and the Bears, especially considering they made the decision for the first time in franchise history to fire a head coach in the middle of the season.

And everyone knew that getting Ben Johnson was going to be an absolute haul for anyone who hired him, but for Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears, it was an absolute gift from the football gods.

The last thing the rest of the NFC wants is Williams operating at full capacity in the confidence department, but that's precisely what's going on in the video we're all watching 100 times on repeat. When Williams's confidence is high, there's not a throw you can dream up that he can't make.

And he already specializes in making the impossible look borderline mundane.

Yes, it's just one throw from OTAs, but that's also part of what makes it exciting -- this is just the beginning.

As the Bears continue to progress through the offseason program, the hype train will be rumbling beyond the point at which anyone is capable of stopping.
