The Chicago Bears have a special quarterback in Caleb Williams, and after a rather messy rookie season, Williams and the franchise really stabilized in the 2025 season. I am not sure many expected an NFC North title and semi-deep playoff run, but that should only excite the fanbase for 2026 and beyond.
With what appears to be a Super Bowl-caliber team heading into this year, much of that is going to hinge on whether Williams can take another massive step forward. He made some positive growth in a ton of key areas, and one area he is already approaching is some all-time team history at the position.
Even though he has only been in the NFL for a couple of seasons, he is hitting some rare air and could rise up a few of these lists with a strong 2026 campaign.

Three big categories for quarterbacks are wins, passing yards, and touchdowns. Here is where Williams stands in those three categories in Bears history:

Let's work backwards here. Williams is 10th in Bears history in passing touchdowns, and getting into the top-3 is very doable. He'd need 22 touchdown passes to have 69 and take Billy Wade's spot. Williams threw 27 in 2025 and averages 23 over a 17-game season, so that is well within reach in his third year.
He's 9th in passing yards. If Williams had his exact yardage total from 2025 into 2026, 3,942, he'd have 11,425, which would put him just behind Jim Harbaugh, but Williams improving on his yardage total and eclipsing 4,000 passing yards could see him pass Harbaugh and also move into the top 3 in a second category.
The wins are still going to take a few more seasons. With another 11-win season in the 2026 season, Williams would have 27 for his career, tying him with Wade for the 6th-most in Bears history. A 14-win season would get Williams over Mitchell Trubisky as the 5th-most in team history, and if nothing else, he'd climb into that spot in early 2027 at the latest.
