The Chicago Bears could go a lot of ways in the 2026 NFL Draft, and a lot of it depends on how the board falls before them.
Based on their needs and the consensus mock drafts, this may be the best way for them to look at the draft from a position standpoint.Â
Perfect positions at each pick for Bears in 2026 NFL Draft
First Round: No. 25 Edge Rusher
There is a chance that the boards break against them, but in most cases, they are in a good spot to draft an edge rusher here. David Bailey, Arvell Reese, and Rueben Bain will be gone by about pick 10. However, Keldrick Faulk, Akheem Mesidor, T.J. Parker, Malachi Lawrence, and Zion Young could all be first-round fits for the team. It is hard to see all five going before pick 25, so the Bears should land one.Â
Second Round: No. 57 Defensive Line
As time goes by, the odds of all of the interior defensive linemen being on the board at pick 25, and the Bears passing, become more likely. Kayden McDonald and Peter Woods may sneak into the back end of the first round or go high enough in the second round that they do not make it to 57. However, if one of them falls to around pick 40, which is plausible, the odds of one of Christen Miller, Caleb Banks, or Lee Hunter falling to the 57th pick become highly likely. All three would be good fits.Â
Second Round: No. 60 SafetyÂ
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is the only option who may fall to pick 25, and even that may not happen. However, at pick 60, the team will likely have names such as Keionte Scott, A.J. Haulcy, Zakee Wheatly, Bud Clark, and Jalon Kilgore on the board. There are plenty of safety options here.Â
Third Round: No. 89 Center
The Bears would like to find a center to replace Garrett Bradbury down the road. Jake Slaughter, San Hecht, Logan Jones, Connor Lew, Trey Zuh, and Brian Pakrer are all options in the third or fourth round range. The Bears might be able to find their favorite and draft their top center at pick 89.
Fourth Round: No. 129 Offensive TackleÂ
If the Bears do not take a tackle in the first round, they are best waiting until the fourth round or later. Markel Bell, Austin Barber, Diego Pounds, and Jude Bowry are all upside swings in this spot.Â
Seventh Round: No. 239 Wide Receiver
Wide receiver is praised for its depth this year, and they need to replace DJ Moore. Josh Cameron, Caleb Douglas, and Emmanuel Henderson are sleepers here.Â

Seventh Round: No. 241 Running Back
The Bears found Kyle Monangai this late; why not find a D’Andre Swift replacement down the road? Roman Hembry, Adam Randall, and Jam Miller are the names to watch here.Â
