The NFL playoffs are always a time when players can make a name for themselves.
There could also be a time when players with magical regular seasons get exposed. One player who will have a lot on the line with his playoff performance is Nahshon Wright.
Will Nashon Wright prove himself for the Chicago Bears in the NFL playoffs?
Wright is a free agent at the end of this season. He came out of nowhere and has had an excellent season with five interceptions. Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report highlighted eight free agents this offseason with the most on the line in the playoffs and noted that Wright is one of the biggest names to watch.
Wright has obviously been impactful with his interceptions and forced fumbles, but on the flip side, he has become the victim of a few big passing plays. That is why this weekend is such a huge moment for him, as it can go one of two ways.
First, Wright can play well; he may even force an interception, and the legend of his great season will not only continue but also be legitimized to some. The bidders will go up, and the amount of money that he makes this offseason will become significant.
On the other end, he could get exposed. Green Bay could choose to pick on him, and with his recent play, it could end up working. This would devastate his market. The thought would be that he caught a few timely picks but was not consistent from down to down.
Teams aren't going to be as interested in him, and while it may make it easier for the Bears to bring him back, you would wonder whether they would even be interested. If they have not given up on Tyrique Stevenson and Jaylohn Johnson getting healthy next season, they do not need to go out of their way to extend Wright.

Wright could go from impact starter and high-end free agent to fighting for a starting spot on any team willing to give him a chance. Not many players have more on the line than the Bears' cornerback.
