Many Chicago Bears fans are nervous about the new stadium and where it might be located, but some of those nerves can be eased by the latest update.

As the threat of the new stadium being in Indiana became a reality, a new report from FOX 32 states that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and state leaders are on board with the public funding package for the Arlington Heights location. State legislative leaders are working on making sure ticket prices and events at the stadium will be affordable for fans.

"We're in consistent conversation with the Chicago Bears," Pritzker said via FOX 32. "The most important point I would make is we're not going to do anything that's bad for the taxpayers. We are helping businesses build infrastructure....and other things that are available to any business that's growing or building something new in the state of Illinois that's putting people to work. Those are normal incentives, and that's what I'd expect we'll end up with for the Bears."

Illinois might be able to keep the Bears after all

This situation has been a mess for Bears fans, as they were initially upset about the Arlington Heights location because it was outside Chicago. Then fears arose that the Bears were seriously considering moving to Indiana to build their new stadium.

There seems to be a pathway that the state of Illinois and the Bears can work out a deal to keep the team in the state. Coming up with an agreement that everyone can be happy with is another thing, as that is how things have broken down in past talks.

Chicago Bears fans have been impressed by renderings of the new stadium, which feature a retractable-roof dome and businesses surrounding it. Now it's a matter of making sure the team doesn't leave the state.
