The Chicago Bears didn't even play a single down for the 2026 season, and it feels like they already got a massive win to start the year out.

That's because news out of South Beach has the Miami Dolphins cleaning house on the roster. The Dolphins announced they have released multiple players from the roster, including wide receiver Tyreek Hill, edge rusher Bradley Chubb, wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and guard James Daniels.

Bears fans will love the news because it means two big things for the team entering the 2026 offseason. These are things that could make the season much easier as they pursue a Super Bowl title.

Bears see Miami Dolphins make massive releases

The first reason this is good news for Chicago is that the team plays the Dolphins in the 2026 season. Miami will be hosting the Bears at some point during the season, so when they thought they already had an easy matchup in South Beach, well, it got a lot easier with some key players no longer there.

Another reason the Bears like what the Dolphins did is that they have a chance to go after one of the players they released: Chubb. Chicago only had 35 sacks a season ago, so the two-time Pro Bowler can come in and be a suitable starter on the defensive line. Chubb can be on the opposite side of the line with Montez Sweat and replace the bust that Dayo Odeyingbo has been since joining the franchise just last year.

It may be just one game for the Bears fans, but every win is going to count in 2026 as the Bears strive to win their first Super Bowl title in over 40 years.
