When it comes to the Chicago Bears and the playoffs, success was hard to come by. The Bears had not won a playoff game since January 2011, but Caleb Williams changed that in just his second season on the job.

It didn't look great, as the Bears trailed by 18 points and looked lifeless on offense. Fortunately, NFL games are at least 60 minutes long, and no team has been better this season in the final minutes of a game than these Bears. No quarterback has been more clutch than Williams in those moments, either, and once again, that was on full display.

Williams helped lead the eventual game-winning drive, and fans have grown accustomed to seeing that from him this season. When that final pass from Jordan Love fell incomplete, and the clock hit triple zeros, it was official that the Bears were moving on in the playoffs for the first time in well over a decade.

Williams was asked after the game if this game was a big sigh of relief considering the playoff history of this team AND having to go up against a division rival. His response was exactly what Bears fans wanted to hear from their franchise quarterback.

"No. No ... It's a fun situation obviously to be in this game and go against our rival ... my goal coming into the league is to win ball games and win the big one," Williams said. "It's elimination. We focus on that."

Caleb Williams mindset after playoff win says everything about him

It'd be easy for Williams to say something about how it was good to get the playoff monkey off his and the team's back, but his mentality is already onto the next one. That's exactly what you want your quarterback to say after a big playoff win, and it shows that the Bears have themselves a franchise quarterback.

The fact of the matter is that Williams, in just his second year in the league, has done something that not many Bears quarterbacks have been able to do. Football is fun again, and he's a big reason why.
