Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland was one of the great stories of the NFL last season, as he proved to be a future star in the NFL.

Loveland had a rough start to the 2025 season, with 11 catches for 116 yards in his first six NFL games. Then he went for 118 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals, which completely changed his whole season as he ended up with 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns, leading the Bears in receiving yards.

Now with a full offseason to get ready with the Bears, Loveland is showing what he is doing to get better. He shared a video of himself working out on social media, and the NFL X page also shared what he is doing during the offseason.

Those clips in the video showed a lot about Loveland and how he has improved his skill set. He's catching the football without gloves and seems to be quicker with his feet to change on a dime in a route.

This is something not seen in a tight end very often, but that athleticism is certainly going to separate him from the rest. He almost looks like he could play on the outside at wide receiver rather than be on the line as a tight end, but his blocking skills are so good that the Bears can't do that.

Expect Loveland to be the main target in the offense in 2026 as he will be joined by Rome Oduzne and Luther Burden. Cole Kmet will most likely have a bigger role if he does not get cut or traded during the offseason.

The upcoming season certainly feels like one where Loveland is about to have an even better season and put himself in the conversation as a top-five tight end in the league if he isn't already.
