So far, Chicago Bears fans have to be loving what they have been hearing already from rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland.
The new Bears tight end has not only said so many right things, but he's done so coming across as genuine as he possibly can. As one of the draft's top offensive weapons, Loveland comes to Chicago ready to make an immediate impact.
Head coach Ben Johnson, along with Ryan Poles, has done a phenomenal job revamping this roster and plugging some serious holes. They did such admirable work that, going into the first round of the draft, Chicago had tons of flexibility and thus, they were able to happily take Loveland at no. 10 overall.
Now, Loveland joins an already-established tight end Cole Kmet to form one of the league's best duos. They also get to share the field with DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. Oh, and let's not forget the face of this franchise, quarterback Caleb Williams, whom Loveland is a big fan of.
Colston Loveland is a huge Caleb Williams fan
Loveland was asked by Chicago media what his thoughts were on Williams shortly after being drafted, and his immediate reaction was everything Bears fans wanted to hear:
"Stud. I love his game, just watching him throughout college.
"He's that man."
Just those few words should have Bears fans ready to run through a wall, but Loveland went on about his new quarterback.
"I'm super excited. The arm talent on him, super smart, does everything the right way from what I can tell. He gave me a call a little bit ago, just looking to build that bond and help the Bears win," the rookie said.
So, Williams was quick to call his new tight end following the draft. That certainly counts as another thing this fan base loves to see. Their young quarterback has to be thrilled with how the offseason has come together.
Loveland and Williams are already building the good vibes and we're only hours into this thing.
