Playing meaningful football games in December is something that no team, coach or player should ever take for granted.

For example, the Washington Commanders played in the NFC Championship last season and are now eliminated from the playoffs this year.

That’s what happens in the NFL.

This Bears team has several players on the roster who have not experienced as much winning as they have this season. With a 10-4 record, this is the most wins that wide receiver DJ Moore has been a part of in his entire eight-year career.

Moore joined Good Morning Football on Thursday and expressed what it feels like being a part of a winning team.

“I mean, it feels amazing,” Moore said. “I get to see what everybody else get to hype about playing in December and January, so I’m looking forward to it. This year has been fun, outside of stats and everything, just building a bond with this team has been fun.”

The Bears are currently a top of the NFC North and are the No. 2 overall seed in the conference. This Week 16 matchup against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field will have huge implications on the conference’s playoff standings.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson told the media on Thursday that he’s grateful his team is in this position to play meaningful games at the end of the season, and he also wants to capitalize on the moment.

To do that, this Bears team will be under immense pressure for the final three regular-season games, all of which are against NFC playoff-contending opponents: Packers (9-4-10), 49ers (10-4) and Lions (8-6).

“Part of our intent as coaches early on in this thing was to build a very poised unit that could handle pressure,” Johnson said. “That's our coaching style. That's why we're very demanding out of our guys. I think they have felt that from the springtime all the way up until now. All three phases to be honest with you. Because of that, I like to think that we thrive in high-leverage and high-pressure situations.”
