DJ Moore trade destination for 2026 makes a ton of sense for the Bears

This makes sense.

It feels like it's a matter of when, not if, the Chicago Bears trade DJ Moore in the 2026 NFL Offseason. Moore was brought in back in 2023 and just finished his third year with the team, but 2025 was the least productive year of his career. Moore had career lows in receptions and yards, finishing with just 50 catches and 682 yards.

Those would be fine numbers for someone who is a second or third option in the receiving game, but when you consider Moore's previous production and his contract, things just do not fit right now. The Bears also have a trio of young weapons in Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, and Colston Loveland, who are very clearly the future of this offseason.

Furthermore, with defensive reinforcements needed in the offseason, trading Moore to then help fix the defense feels like a certainty. However, a destination for Moore might not be abundantly clear right now, but this up-and-coming AFC team actually makes a lot of sense for the veteran WR.

Tennessee Titans dubbed as a logical trade destination for Bears' WR DJ Moore this offseason

Here is Christopher Kline in FanSided.com on why DJ Moore could be a good fit for the Tennessee Titans:

D.J. Moore put some incredible plays on tape this season, but he also gave up on a critical route in the NFC Divisional Round, leading to an interception. Moore's reputation is a mixed bag. He's also entering the penultimate year of his contract, with Rome Odunze separating as the Chicago Bears' WR1 and Caleb Williams' favorite target. Now might be the time for the Bears to cash in.

The Tennessee Titans desperately need to find some help for Cam Ward. Say what you will about Moore, the dude is a monster and only two years removed from a career-high 1,364 receiving yards. Still 28, with gas left in the tank, this feels like a reasonable upside swing for a Titans team with cap space to burn. Ward has all the talent necessary for a star leap in year two, and new OC Brian Daboll is a tried-and-true playcaller. Moore can help the Titans turn this ship around
.

DJ Moore is still a good player, but his production has dipped since a very strong 2023 season with the Bears, where he caught 96 passes for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns. That year still stands as the best of his NFL career. Moore was a 21-year-old rookie back in 2018 and has a whopping 8,213 yards in 8 years in the NFL.

He's only set to be in his age-29 season and has started every game over the past five seasons, missing only two games across his career. Contractually, a post-June 1 trade would force the Bears to eat $4 million in dead money, but they would save $24.5 million. Those savings are simply too much to pass up.

The Tennessee Titans do make a ton of sense, as the franchise has a young QB, a ton of cap space, and a desperate need for more weapons. Cam Ward could take a huge leap in year two with the right players around him. Sending Moore as far away from the team as possible is a wise idea, as he's still a very good player.

However, his role with the Bears really doesn't make a ton of sense in 2026, given the contract and the other young players Chicago has. The writing may be on the wall for DJ Moore.
