It's been apparent for a long time to Chicago Bears fans that they have something special in quarterback Caleb Williams.
That specialness in Williams was showcased after he led the Bears to an 11-6 record and won the NFC North. Williams even got a playoff win against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card game. His opponent in that game, Packers quarterback Jordan Love, told ProFootballTalk at the Super Bowl how special Williams is and how much he's grown from 2024 to now.
"I think Caleb’s done some incredible things. For him going into Year 2, I think he made a great jump this year and played some pretty cool ball. He’s always been a splash player. He makes some pretty amazing plays all over the field. We played him three times this year. He’s a guy that, you never know, he can change the game in an instant. He makes some of the best off-schedule plays I’ve seen. For him, just keep improving, keep doing what he does. We’ll have some great battles going forward. He’ll be in Chicago for a long time. Shoutout to him, he’s a great player."

The 2025 season was a stellar one for Williams, who broke the Bears franchise record for passing yards in a season with 3,942 yards and threw 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions. His 1.2% interception rate is pacing to be the best in NFL history after just 13 picks in his first 34 career regular season games.
What was most impressive about Williams's sophomore year in the NFL was the number of games where he had to lead a comeback or a game-winning drive. He did seven times between the regular season and playoffs; that's an NFL record.
Everyone is so hung up on the completion percentage as he dipped to 58% in the 2025 season. Despite that, though, everyone believes that Williams can make all the throws necessary to be an NFL quarterback. Heck, he can make throws that over 95% of the NFL quarterbacks dreamed they could make.

Season two in the Williams era in the Windy City was not perfect, but it was pretty darn close because of the way he played all season. Things are only going to go up from here, and Love knows that better than anyone else.
