The Atlanta Falcons certainly have an interest in the Chicago Bears and nabbing people from the organization.

Obviously, the biggest offseason news is former Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham being hired by the Falcons as the new general manager. While Bears fans were happy for Cunningham, the way the NFL handled the Rooney Rule situation is a mess of its own that Bears fans would prefer not to talk about.

Well, the Falcons are back hiring Bears employees, and this time they have hired Keith Earle as their new area scout, according to CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz. Earle started as an intern for the Bears back in 2022, quickly moved up to scouting assistant, and has spent the last two years as the Midlands area scout.

Falcons take another Bears employee away from them

It really shouldn't be too much of a surprise, as Cunningham will be looking within the organization he spent several years with to hire people he trusts. Cunningham obviously has a lot of connections there, plus he is close with Bears general manager Ryan Poles, so Poles is not the type of person to block someone from being hired and getting a promotion.

Poles was the one that was working behind the scenes with Falcons president of football Matt Ryan to get Cunningham hired to be the general manager. That is a good thing for Poles to see guys get promoted.

The Bears should take it as a compliment as Chicago is showing the NFL how to run a team and how it should be done. When teams win, other teams want to replicate that as much as possible.

Poles will find more scouts to help out and won't worry about losing someone because he's got a good eye for talent.
