Hands are being raised with questions on NFL voice's ranking of Bears' offense

Why is that the case?

No unit in the NFL improved the way the Chicago Bears' did from 2024 to 2025.

This offense was one of the worst in the NFL overall and the worst rushing attack in the league back in 2024. Bears head coach Ben Johnson transformed the unit into a top-10 group and was ranked third in the NFL in rushing last season.

Bleacher Report writer Brad Gagnon ranked all 32 NFL offenses after the 2026 NFL Draft, and the Bears did not get the ranking many expected, finishing 14th. Gagnon shared why people should be optimistic.

"Caleb Williams and Co. will have had another full offseason developing in Ben Johnson's system, which already helped Williams improve significantly as Chicago turned the ball over a league-low 11 times in 2025."

So why would the Bears not be in the top 10 offensively going into 2026?

The progression of Williams was staggering last season, as he continued to protect the football and became a magician with the ball in his hands, constantly making insane throws. Not only that, but the number of young offensive weapons the team has is crazy, with Kyle Monangai, Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, and Rome Odunze all either entering their second or third year in the league.

So with all the compliments, why would the Bears' offense miss the top 10 like that? Gagnon shared why people might be pessimistic.

"Williams still posted a sub-60 completion percentage and a 90.1 passer rating, which is far from stardom range. Now, he's lost a key veteran receiver as well as his Pro Bowl center. Progress from risers Colston Loveland, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III should ease that burden, as should the acquisition of Bradbury, but this offense remains slightly unsettled for now."

The offense is not perfect, and there's room for improvement, but the Bears are loaded with young talent that might need another year together. This team has the makings of a Super Bowl contender as early as this year.
